WHY CHOOSE KIDS UNLIMITED ACADEMY?

Kids Unlimited Academy believes the greatest gift in a child’s life is education.

Our yearlong school lays the foundation for lifelong learning along many avenues. KUA offers smaller classroom sizes, diverse curricula and a commitment to academic success. Our experiential education unlocks the joy of learning through visual, cultural and performance arts, kinesthetic and tactile lessons, as well as technology and real-world, hands-on problem-solving.

Longer academic days that incorporate enrichment programs in the late afternoon foster creativity, problem-solving and teamwork. Elective courses empower students to produce full-length television news programs and musical recordings in our state-of-the-art media studio or gain on-the-job training in our graphic arts and print shop.

High-quality educators make up our team of teachers and staff, and KUA practices align with state standards while elevating student engagement. Our campus facilities are integrated with technology, outdoor playing fields, art studios and science and culinary labs, as well as a dance studio and dedicated performing arts center. Our school environment extends to meeting students’ daily nutritional needs with freshly cooked meals — breakfast, lunch and dinner — made from scratch daily.

Principal’s Message

A Kids Unlimited Academy “welcome” is so much more than a greeting. It exemplifies our nurturing atmosphere that embraces the whole family with opportunities beyond children’s education.

Striving to be a “beacon of hope” for children and families, KUA is strengthening its comprehensive K-5 program, which ultimately prepares students for middle school, high school and beyond. Simultaneously, this is a transition year for middle school that will build on their KUA experiences and equip them for school beyond our campus. We will make this a memorable year for KUA middle schoolers and maintain our connection with them through their educational journey for years to come.

KUA’s transitions include my arrival as its new principal. I recently moved with my family from Portland to Southern Oregon. Over 20 years working with grades K-5 in the Portland area, I held many different positions before beginning at KUA as assistant principal in March.

The principal relies on an entire administrative team to run our school. This team comprises our friendly, knowledgeable front office staff, instructional coaches dedicated to academic excellence and support staff specializing in student behavior. We are most effective, of course, with our families’ involvement and commitment.
